01

Background

This is a case study of an intelligent aquarium control system that integrates advanced technology and innovative design, along with modern aquaculture equipment based on IoT concepts. In this case study, we were involved from the planning stage, handling consultations, planning, and requirement definition. Additionally, we developed the entire system, covering hardware design (such as circuit and circuit board design), embedded software development, web applications, server construction, and IoT device development.

Outcomes

Smart aquariums also come with intelligent lighting systems that adjust light intensity, color, and duration based on different times and needs through the Internet of Things (IoT), simulating natural light cycles to promote the growth and reproduction of aquatic life. Some smart aquariums have automatic feeding functions that feed precisely according to preset times and amounts, and their feeding status can be remotely monitored via IoT to prevent overfeeding or underfeeding.

Building on traditional aquariums, smart aquariums utilize IoT technology to achieve various intelligent functions. They feature precise water temperature control systems that use IoT sensors to monitor water temperature in real-time and automatically adjust it, providing an ideal living environment for fish and aquatic life. Additionally, they have advanced water quality monitoring systems that use connected IoT sensors to track key indicators such as pH levels, dissolved oxygen, and ammonia nitrogen in real-time. These sensors analyze data through intelligent algorithms, and if any abnormalities are detected, they promptly send alerts to users' smartphones or other smart devices via IoT, allowing users to take appropriate actions.
